Scarlet and Violet's Iconic Character Joins Pokemon Masters EX

Pokemon Masters EX has officially announced that it will introduce one of the highly acclaimed characters from Scarlet and Violet in their upcoming Pokemon Presents event in August 2023.

DeNA’s Pokemon Masters EX has announced the introduction of Nemona, a beloved character from the Scarlet and Violet franchise, to its already vast pool of trainers. The unveiling was made on the 8th of August during the Pokemon Presents event, which also saw the much-awaited arrival of two classic Pokemon games on Nintendo Switch Online. Launched in August 2019, Pokemon Masters EX is an exceptionally popular strategy game that offers players a chance to become the Pokemon Masters League champion by engaging in 3-on-3 battles while recruiting a team of popular characters and pocket monsters through gacha mechanics. Even now, almost four years since its release, DeNA is still dedicated to offering regular content updates to keep fans engaged.

We are pleased to announce that the latest release in the beloved game franchise now includes a new addition. Nemona, the first rival to appear since Blue’s success, has been added as a five-star Sync Pair along with her Pawmot from the mainline games. Notably, Pawmot is a dual-type Electric and Fighting Pokemon, which is a rare combination.

Nemona’s Pawmot is equipped with advantageous moves in battle, such as the electric attack, Coming to Fruition Double Shock, which scales in damage based on the Pokemon’s Speed stat. When used for the first time in a battle, this move reduces its countdown by three turns, adding to its effectiveness in initiating battles. Other possible moves include Thunder Punch and B Double Shock, which are reliable options for inflicting damage. Additionally, Nemona’s Pawmot has access to EX Speed, which can augment its Speed stat by up to six ranks, and Let’s Battle All Out, which can reduce the Sync Move countdown of an allied pair by two turns. These key moves make Nemona’s Pawmot a valuable asset in any battle.

Based on its move set and typing, it seems that Pawmot is intended to be a powerful glass cannon that can quickly defeat many pocket monsters. Its dual type being the same as that of Alolan Raichu is not a coincidence. It is worth noting that Pawmot evolves from Pawmi, which is the latest Pikachu clone in the Pokemon series.

The recent release of Nemona in Pokemon Presents has generated excitement among multiple fans on social media, who have confirmed that the character can already be obtained in the game. With this addition, Pokemon Masters EX now boasts an impressive 173 trainers that players can recruit for their teams.

For those unfamiliar, Pokemon Masters EX is a mobile game available to all. As a fan of the franchise, you’ll appreciate the expanded roster and can look forward to discovering new dynamic pairings with the recently added characters. Stay tuned for further updates and additions to this thrilling game.
