Pokemon Scarlet & Violet have some very difficult areas across Paldea, featuring some strong and high-leveled Pokemon. Along with the wild Pokemon to encounter, there are trainer battles, Team Star battles, and Titan Pokemon to test the skills of gamers.

Unlike other Pokemongames, Scarlet & Violet do not have a linear story and the player can choose exactly what they want to do. However, it’s important to make sure to have the correct leveled Pokemon, as some areas are more difficult than others. Here are the hardest areas to traverse in Paldea, in order of their difficulty.

Updated on September 26, 2023, by Ben Painter: Pokemon Scarlet & Violet have been a critical and commercial success, although the games have gotten easier as the franchise has gone on, there are still parts of the generation 9 game that cause some trouble. With the DLC, Hidden Treasures of Area Zero: The Teal Mask released there are areas in the new region of Kitakami to explore and battle. With new Pokemon, trainers and Legendaries to face Teal Mask breathes a new breath of life into Scarlet & Violet with some challenging new areas.

Another legendary can also be battled and caught here, Fezandipiti of the Loyal Three, which is another tough battle. Unlocked after completing all three missions in the main game, Area Zero is not only home to many strong wild Pokemon, but also it is the only place to capture the elusive Paradox Pokemon. In Pokemon Scarlet, they are Ancient Pokemon, and in Pokemon Violet, they are Future Pokemon.

Found in the wild in this area, they are around level 60 and are some of the highest-leveled wild Pokemon in all of Paldea. Gamers will need to take on six of those in the final battle of the game as the player faces Professor Sada (Scarlet) or Professor Turo (Violet) which will have a team of Pokemon around level 67.
