Pokemon Sleep is indubitably one of the better mobile games out there. Since its release, the game has accumulated over a million downloads on both the Android and iOS app stores. A key reason for its continued success has been the time and care put into the game by the developers.

They have been open to suggestions and have taken action against any bugs. In a recent in-game announcement, it was confirmed that Pokemon Sleep would get an update, which will bring new additions and improvements that will make things more convenient for players.

New Features In Version 1.0.9

Pokemon Sleep will undergo maintenance on September 26 at 06:30 a.m., and it will end at 11:30 a.m. There will be two big additions in the upcoming version:

  • Changes to make Pokémon in the Pokemon Box recover a small amount of Energy from sleep
  • Changes to allow users to navigate to their bag from the Gift Box screen when the gift cannot be accepted because the bag’s items pocket is full

The first change is something that players have been asking for a long time. Presently, the only free way for a Pokemon to recover energy is to put it on the Helper Team and then sleep. This is particularly annoying, as it means that the other Pokemon cannot regain any lost energy. In an emergency, players could use the Energy Pillow, but it isn’t ideal. So, being able to have a box with Pokemon full of energy without having to spend any valuable resources is certainly a massive improvement.

The second inclusion is going to be a time saver, as it can be annoying to leave the screen and go all the way back to the bag and open up some space. Furthermore, players who have linked their accounts will receive 100 diamonds, which can be used to buy incense and expansions. There will also be some changes to the font.

Bug Fixes In Version 1.0.9

Pokemon Sleep still has plenty of bugs, which interfere with the experience of players. Thankfully, some of them are being tackled in Version 1.0.9. The statement from the developers confirms that the following issues will be fixed:

  • Fixes to a bug that caused adjustments based on Pokémon Natures not to be reflected when using candies to gain EXP
  • Fixes to a bug that caused session photos not to be displayed when the graphic quality was set low
  • Fixes to a bug that caused Error 028001 to occur when the Auto Cook button was pressed repeatedly
  • Fixes to a bug that caused multiple messages to be unintentionally sent in a single day to the research community (when sleep is tracked twice in one day, the results of only the first sleep research session will be sent to friends)

One thing’s for sure: when the update goes live, players will be much happier while playing the game.
