Pokemon GO continues to update its vast roster of creatures from the main series well into 2023, and the additions from the Hisui Region over the past year mark the game’s foray into content from Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Many of these mons have been featured in special events and community days for Pokemon GO, giving players a reason to pick the game back up and continue their collection. While not every Hisuian creature has been added to the game as of yet, there is still a solid number worth trying to obtain.

Despite the recent backlash over the change to Pokemon GO‘s Remote Raid system, many of these Hisuian forms are only available by participating in Raids against them but have been limited to particular events or special Raid Days. It is still possible to obtain some of these Hisuian monsters by hatching 7km eggs, but each one available comes with its own rarity and chance of hatching from a given egg. Aside from unreleased Hisuian forms, it’s likely that previously obtainable Hisuian mons will also become available again through Raids in future events.

The first Hisuian form to debut in Pokemon GO was Hisuian Voltorb in January 2022 to coincide with the release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. February 2022’s Go Tour Poke Ball Prep Rally event featured Hisuian Electrode, which players could obtain by evolving their Hisuian Voltorbs with 50 candies. More Hisuian forms, including Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Qwilfish, and Hisuian Sneasel, along with their evolutions, were released in July 2022 as part of the Hisuian Discoveries event which also featured Hisuian Braviary as a Raid Boss on July 31. Hisuian Forms Still Missing from Pokemon GO (May 2023)

Hisuian Zoroark in Legends Arceus
  • Hisuian Decidueye
  • Hisuian Typhlosion
  • Hisuian Samurott
  • Wyrdeer
  • Hisuian Lilligant
  • White-Striped Basculin
  • Basculegion
  • Hisuian Sligoo
  • Hisuian Goodra
  • Hisuian Zorua
  • Hisuian Zoroark
  • Enamorus

While there are a handful of Hisuian forms available in Pokemon GO, there are some notable mons missing from the list. The starter trio of Hisuian Decidueye, Hisuian Typhlosion, and Hisuian Samurott are some of the biggest omissions given their prominence in Pokemon Legends: Arceus and the fact that their original forms are already present in the game. These starters are some of the most popular forms of older creatures introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, so it’s likely they will have their own special event dedicated to them in the future.

Other mons that could be added in future events are the equally popular Hisuian Sliggoo and Goodra, as well as Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark who could appear in another event like 2022’s Hisuian Discoveries. Additionally, critters like Wyrdeer, Basculegion, Hisuian Lilligant, and Enamorus would make perfect bosses for future Raid Days spread out over the course of the year. As Niantic continues to add Hisuian creatures from Pokemon Legends: Arceus, it’s likely that players will see fun and interesting ways to interact with them, whether through Community Day events, Raids, or other seasonal events.
